Ned Rava, Ph.D. has 20 years of professional experience in Strategic Development, Organizational Change, and Innovation in more than 25 countries. As team leader, advisor, consultant, and educator Ned has facilitated complex systems change on 50+ projects and initiatives supported by, amongst other, the United Nations, the World Bank, and the European Union. His work addressed Strategic Foresight, Policy Design, Stakeholder Dialogue, Institutional and Social Innovation, Sustainability, and Organizational Change and Learning – across sectors and industries (Education, Healthcare, Social and Economic Policy, Community Development, International and Regional Cooperation, and Democratic Governance). Overall, Ned produced more than 40 reports, policy papers, strategies, methodologies, and roadmaps, and designed and delivered more than 45 training and educational programs. He has degrees in management, comparative politics, development policy, and his Ph.D. thesis focused on democratic governance. Ned is candidate of Master of Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation, and he currently finalizes his research on Platform Design.
Currently, Ned is advising the United Nations Development Group on Integrated Policy for the Sustainable Development Goals within a global fund operating in 12 countries on 45 projects. Ned is also supporting the United Nations Capital Development Fund on Partnership Strategy for a financial inclusion program; and the Empowering Futures Initiatives of the Global Centre for Public Service Excellence on new Strategic Foresight methodology.
In Canada, Ned co-founded the Futures of Social Innovation at the Strategic Innovation Lab of OCAD University where he focuses on Policy Design, Social Innovation Hub, Platforms, and Social Impact.
